Egyptian investors to implement WBG irrigation project in August

Western Bahr El Ghazal State Agriculture minister said his ministry signed a 100-acres contract with Egyptian investors to implement irrigation project in August.
 
Michael Madut Chan while addressing the staff at the ministry during the visit of Governor Rizig Zachariah Hassan on Tuesday said the Egyptian investors would help build the capacity of farming system, Radio Voice of Hope reported.
 
He explained that the investors would also inaugurate Marial Bai milk and meat factory, renovate forestry office and workshop, distribute six tractors to the three counties and employ 44 graduates in various sections.
 
Minister Madut said the combination of the two ministries became a major challenge, making it difficult to control its various departments.
 
Western Bahr El Ghazal Governor Rizig Zachariah Hassan said it is the responsibility of the ministry of Agriculture to provide food security to citizens of the state.
 
He requested for the transfer of staff to counties to help develop the state economic status.
 
Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources is said to be the sixth ministry the Governor visited.
