Unexploded ordinance injured two children: a boy and a girl from Upper Kumu village in Anggartu of Toladi County in the Nuba Mountains region.

An eyewitness Raila Abdallah told Radio Voice of Peace that a 12-year-old boy, Kalu Hamad struck unexploded bomb on Tuesday morning in Anggartu leading to severe injuries in his stomach, thigh, lower abdomen and the neck.

She added that another girl Kujila Abdu was partially injured in the head, hand and buttock.

In another news development, a woman from Kumu Fog fell from a mango tree in Anggartu on Monday and got hurt in the chin.

The woman who is currently receiving medical treatment at the local hospital complains of chest and backbone pain.

Khadar Boma Deputy Chief Abdu Ibrahim Saleh condemned the act, calling on the community members not to send their children and women in Mandi and Anggartu to collect mangoes because those are dangerous areas.

Intense fighting between the Khartoum government forces and SPLA-N took place in January in Anggartu leaving unexploded ordinance in the area.
