Western Bahr El Ghazal State African National Congress or ANC party leader on Saturday declared his defection to SPLM.

Francis Ibrahim told SPLM Wau County Secretariat that he joined the ruling party with seven others, saying more members are expected to follow, Voice of Hope reported.

He denied allegations that he joined SPLM to harvest money, saying such are lies and fabrications.

Mr Ibrahim argued that SPLM is the only revolution movement in Africa that succeeded to establish a nation.

Former ANC leader added that he joined SPLM due to personal conviction despite divisions in the party.
