Yei Commissioner forms committee to direct cattle keepers

Yei River Commissioner of Central Equatoria State formed a committee comprising of security organs, administrators and head chiefs to lead pastoralists out of the farming communities of the county.
 
Bidali Cosmas Wöri-Köjö said the move aims at minimizing conflict between the cattle keepers and the farmers, Radio Easter reported.
 
The Commissioner also appealed to the residents to cooperate and direct the pastoralists to move without destruction.
 
There are over 30,000 herds of cattle with armed men crossing Yei River County territories to Kajo-Keji and Lainya Counties.
