Five states in South Sudan states will benefit from a forty two US million dollar project funded by the Multi Donor Trust Fund MTDF. The livestock and fisheries Development project will last for five years in the states of Central, Eastern, Equatoria, Jonglei, Upper Nile and Unity of south sudan..
Eastern Equatoria state coordinator for MTDF Johnson Jiribi Balli revealed this to Radio Emmanuel yesterday during the launch of animal health delivery service programme at the Bishop’s Residence.
The Catholic Diocese of Torit is the implementing partner in Eastern Equatoria state in collaboration with the state ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal resources.
Mr. Jiribi said the project is to be implemented in two phases beginning with capacity building and service delivery in the first two years.
The second phase deals with the long term institutional development, service delivery and marketing activities for a period of three years of the project lifespan.
Eastern Equatoria state yesterday witness the launching of the first phase of the project kicking off with provision of animal health services.
The state Minister for Agriculture, Forestry and Animal Resources, Jerome Gama Surur praised the Catholic Diocese of Torit for ever spearheading development in the region.
