Western Bahr El Ghazal government on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding with China Road and Bridge Company for the reconstruction of Khor Hajar Bridge, 40-kilometre road within Wau Town and Irrigation water systems on agriculture areas.
State Physical Infrastructure Minister Zachariah Joseph Garang told reporters in Wau that the work would start within 60 days from the date of signature and products would be handed over to the government after accomplishment, Radio Voice of Hope reported.
Chinese Company Senior Business Manager Zhang Yong said the two projects deal would strengthen China’s future cooperation in the state, adding that their main target is to develop South Sudan’s road network, bridges and railways.
The agreement came three weeks after Egypt pledged to construct a one billion Dollar Dam on Wau Sue River.
