Tonj South County Commissioner in Warrap state declared that the thirty South Sudanese Pounds social services household annual taxes would remain in Bomas and would not to be forwarded to the Payam.

William Wol Mayom Bol said he is implementing Governor’s order to suspend transferring taxes from the Boma to the county headquarters to strengthen all grass roots offices in the villages, Radio Don Bosco reported.

He clarified that the money would be collected by sub-chiefs and the executive chief would form Boma Development Committee to oversee the collection.

Mr Wol banned the use of plastic bags for selling products in Tonj South, giving the public one week ultimatum, saying violators would be fined to pay 300 South Sudanese Pounds or serve two months imprisonment.

Commissioner Wol encouraged the use of news papers for wrapping goods in the market.
