Girls’ Education South Sudan or GESS representative says some schools are in need of close follow-up due to lack of guideline and teachers’ attendance books.
Therese Farshan in a report commends the implementation of the capitation grant in Western Equatoria State, stressing the need for much awareness and cash transfer going to various schools, Anisa Radio reported.
State Education Minister Pia Philip Michael recommends the County Liaison Officers, Payam Supervisors, Education Managers and teachers and pupils to be re-engaged in sensitization process on the proper usage of money.
He adds that there is no proper planning for the first payment the schools received; calling for corrections and improvements.
GESS Juba team carried a joint review program with the state team headed by Director General Gibson Francis Waru, and presented their findings to the Minister on Thursday.
