Tonj South community midwives in Warrap State on Friday said they are conducting civic education for pregnant women and husbands on safe delivery in their recently opened centers.
Suzy Mario Juma said they started the campaign in Akal-Keu and Genanyuon centers, commenting women for their good turn up, Radio Don Bosco reported.
She explained that the initiative aims at promoting safe delivery system and educating husbands to allow their wives get necessary medication during pregnancy.
Ms Juma said they would be in Khartoum Jedit Center on Saturday and proceed to other centers consecutively.
The two midwives discouraged some cultural practices that prevent women from attending medical facilities.
They said that their campaign would be extended to remote villages in Tonj South.
