The Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba said the failure in the Addis Ababa, Ethiopia’s peace talks target individual interests because the suffering of the people was not included.
Bishop Santo Loku Pio in his homily at St Theresa’s Cathedral said people in South Sudan including foreigners are not happy because of the ongoing crisis, Radio Bakhita reported.
He told the negotiators not to copy Comprehensive Peace Agreement because the situation of today is different from that of 2005.
The Bishop warned that there would be no peace in the nation if the challenges South Sudanese face are not addressed in the negotiations.
He said going to church does not matter but true faith in Jesus is a living stone of the new temple.
