At least six people including the driver were injured after a car overturned in Ere area of Eldo Payam, Heiban County in Nuba Mountains.
A survivor said the car which was going to Yida started its journey from Gidel, Kumbur Payam at about 5:00 in the morning, Radio Voice of Peace reported.
A seriously injured woman, Kaka Haroun and a girl who sustained ten bruises on her hand and are receiving medical treatment in the local hospital, said the car was over-speeding.
Ms Haroun said the car overturned twice and she was pulled out through the window, adding that her daughter who was with the baby also got minor injuries but the child was safe.
She said the car is badly damaged and that they could not believe that they survived the accident.
The injured people were rushed to the hospital by another car that returned to check them after noticing that the second driver was not behind them.
Kumbur and Eldo Payam authorities were not available to comment on the issue.
