Inter-Church Committee or ICC women working in Yei River County on Friday celebrated the world day of prayer by praying for peace and end of war in the nation.
County ICC Women Chairperson Mary Gboka Solomon said women gathered together to clean the nation’s sins through washing of their legs so that President Salva Kiir and Opposition leader Riek Machar may reach a final peace agreement, Radio Easter reported.
Mama Gboka said it is time to ask forgiveness from God by repenting and accepting mistakes as Lord Jesus Christ taught.
She added that they came to cry to God to bring peace to South Sudan for better education and other services to continue normally.
The celebration brought together 32 different churches in Yei County and Municipality.
