Western Equatoria State Traffic Police Director disclosed plans to minimize road accidents near schools and hospitals in Yambio town.
Hussein Girisi told Radio Anisa that the police planned to construct bumps to control over speeding near schools and hospitals in the coming days for the safety of school children and patients.
He said they are also planning to create more checkpoints in Yambio town and build shelters at those checkpoints to prevent hot sun and rain during the traffic police working hours.
Mr Girisi disclosed more plans to construct five roundabouts in Yambio town in addition to the two built last year.
The Director explained that they focus much on improving the situation in the state capital because its population is big with many accidents compared to other towns.
