Ugandan Makerere Institute of Business Studies Coordinator met with Western Equatoria State Education Minister to discuss possibilities to open a distant learning program.
Jonan Bake said the program aims at giving quality education opportunities to students in South Sudan, citing similar centres opened in Nimule and Torit of Eastern Equatoria State, Radio Anisa reported.
State Education Minister Pia Michael welcomed the initiative, saying the people are looking forward to accessing quality education.
He encouraged the institution to be serious, consistent, committed and ensures continuity of the program once it started to avoid problems.
