Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-Democratic Change or SPLM-DC said the government delayed the court hearing between the National Elections Commission or NEC and Political Parties.
Dr Lam Akol Ajawin told CRN that they have no objection to the government’s petition and that they are expected to continue next work.
Justice Ministry Undersecretary Jeremiah Swaka Moses said they prepared reply to the petition and that it was not proper because other petitioners are not registered political parties according to South Sudan laws.
The Political Parties last year told the NEC that it was not appropriate to hold elections before the end of war, but the Commission insisted, prompting the parties to sue it to the Supreme Court.
