Government policymakers and education stakeholders are discussing to break Science, Technology and Innovation Directorate in the Education Ministry to a separate ministry for effectiveness.

Deputy Education Minister Bol Makueng Yuol on Monday told CRN that they recommended to working groups to prioritize South Sudan needs of food, prosperity, medical care, air and water transport for security and stability.

He hopes specialists and analysts from universities would create Science, Technology & Innovation as an independent institution that transforms South Sudan into a knowledge-based society.

Minister Makueng calls on citizens to embrace education, saying ‘education is nation and that without education, there is no nation’.

He challenges South Sudanese compatriots to diagnose their problems and develop solutions.
