Nuba Mountains region’s Heiban County, Konjo community is locked up in counter-accusation over an abortion case, suspecting schoolgirls for the act as the school administration refutes the suspicion.

Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Primary School head teacher Joseph Daud witnessed a dumped aborted rotting fetus near the school premises, but dismissed any conclusion that pupils committed the crime, Voice of Peace reported.

He explained that the school rules and regulations do not admit married ladies or pregnant girls to study.

A school child discovered the decaying fetus on Friday morning and reported the incident to teachers whom together with area chief and police visited the ill-fated scene.

Head teacher Daud condemns abortion; urging parents to pay close watch at their daughters.

Kumbur Payam Police Department Director in the Nuba Mountains Musa Bashir Teka condemns abortion, cautioning that it is a crime worth death sentence.
