Western Equatoria State Speaker on Thursday warned that there are some politicians confusing people to fight for land.

Bage James Elisa explained that there is no law regulating land sale rather than authorizing free allocation to citizens.

He said the government plays a great role to regulate land utilizations and has to be divided to communities into three categories, including residential, commercial and public land for rendering services and other community gatherings.

Speaker Bage urged traditional leaders to allocate land freely to people to avoid land dispute when the government wants to utilize it.

Yambio County Commissioner Kuze John Elia calls for more community sensitization to acquaint them with civic education for owning land as the most essential resource for them and the new generation to come.

He urged the State Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Public Utilities to include their budget county land authorities for effective administration.

The officials made the statement during the launch of Land Regulation Acts Management law on Thursday at Cultural Centre in Yambio.
