Water scarcity continues to be a big challenge affecting the people of Lasu Payam in Yei River County of Central Equatoria State.
Head Chief Yoele Babanju told the media that his residents are now drinking unsafe water from rivers and wells, Radio Easter reported.
He lamented presenting the issue to the local authorities and humanitarian organization, NGO and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees but no action is taken.
The residents remain at high risk of acquiring diseases like diarrhoea, typhoid, warms and cholera according to health reports.
