NEW GOSS CABINET TAKES OATH OF OFFICE

The new cabinet appointed by South Sudan president took the oath of office.

The thirty two ministers appointed by President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Monday were sworn in tobay in Juba in the presence of President Kiir, Vice President Tiek Machar Teny and the President of Southern Sudan Supreme Court, John Wol Makeec.

The new minister for Information and GoSS spokesperson Barnaba Marial Benjamin told the press that the ministers promised to implement SPLM policies particularly the full implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement.

Addressing the new ministers, President Kiir urged them to put as their priority the referendum undertakings with undivided attention.

President Kiir noted that service delivery and taking towns to the people must also be a priority of the new cabinet.

He urged the ministers not to loose sight of the peace dividends for the people.
