Yei River County HIV and AIDS Commission Monitoring and Evaluation officer on Thursday called on citizens to equally support people living HIV through income generating activities.
Joyce Sadia Clement advised citizens not to discrimination against people living with the virus, calling on positive persons to take their treatment as recommended, Radio Easter reported.
He said Yei Civil Hospital alone tested 3,905 people and 521 got positive and that 3,500 people living with the virus are taking drugs at the Antiretroviral Centre.
The officer said the population at risk includes commercial sex workers, drug users, the army and truck drivers, calling on the government and partners to financially support the Commission to arrange for HIV activities.
