African Medical Relief Foundation or AMREF in collaboration with Lainya County Health authorities on Monday started a ten-day operation of people suffering from appendicitis and hernia.
AMREF Surgical Outlet Coordinator Philip Chandiga told Radio Easter in a telephone interview that they operated 22 people on Monday and that they are consulting on 100 cases.
Lainya Clinical Officer Scopas Guya commended the organization for its free initiative, recalling that the free operation is the third of its kind in the county.
