Information Minister says ‘World crazy’ on South Sudan politics

Information and Broadcasting Minister on Monday complained that people in the world seem ‘crazy’ on the election question in the country.
 
Michael Makuei Lueth lamented that some voices were questioning why elections at war time and others now commenting that by adjourning elections and extending office tenure for two years, government has confirmed how undemocratic it is by clinging to power.
 
Minister Makuei criticized political parties for suing the National Election Commission to court, saying ‘they were spearing the shadow of elephant instead of the elephant itself’.
 
Cabinet Affairs Minister Martin Elia Lomurö blasted Intergovernmental Authority on Development or IGAD and Great Lakes region for supporting SPLM/A in Opposition instead of treating it as a negative force.
 
The cabinet ministers expressed their concerns in a press conference on Monday in Juba.
