Lakes State citizens are happy to celebrate their Valentine’s Day while welcoming President Salva Kiir Mayardit and other government officials to open peace conference.
The conference that begins on Saturday coinciding with Valentine’s Day is expected to last for seven days, Radio Good News reported.
Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO State Coordinator Majier Isaac Majok urged urged youth to promote peace and love to neighbours while celebrating the Day.
He encouraged people not to use the Day only for sexual pleasure, urging youth to be exemplary by extending peace and Christian love to many people in the state.
A Kenyan Businessman in Lakes Denis Levi Odanga said Valentine is the happiest day being celebrated by many Christians worldwide, urging people to pray for peace in the country and love each other as God loves all his creatures.
