Eastern Equatoria Local Government and Law Enforcement minister praised partners including Catholic Relief service, Cordaid, VNG, the Catholic Diocese of Torit and Pax for support to peace initiative in the state.
Lokai Iko Loteyo noted that the state is relatively calm due to community dialogues in several conflict areas with the support of partners, Radio Emmanuel reported.
Minister Loteyo recounted several successful peace and reconciliation dialogues in different counties with positive results.
The minister said the state government embarks on dialogue to promote peace and stability among affected communities.
Mr Loteyo urged all politicians, Churches, civil societies and other partners to uphold peace initiatives as ultimate means to improve lives of the people in the state.
