A political analyst described the new South Sudan cabinet a formidable government in preparation for the results of the referendum in 2011.
Taj Al-Sir Meki told SRS from Khartoum that the new government of Southern Sudan (GoSS) was formed by the strongest and prominent leaders in the SPLM.Mr. Meki said creating a new ministry for peace was a positive stance.
He added that the new GoSS was a right evaluation, because in whichever case the peace was an essential and substantial issue, and mandating peace ministry to Pagan Amum who is fully aware of what is going on in northern Sudan, restored some confidence to some people.
The new cabinet made up of 32 ministers, including seven women and four opposition members, is expected to be sworn in today in Juba.
