United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator announced on Wednesday that International partners pledged six hundred and eighteen million US Dollars for assisting to South Sudanese this year.
Toby Lanzer described the promise as ‘exciting news’ because they can implement their plan, World Food Programme can procure sufficient stocks of food and reach more people in need and Agriculture Organization can buy enough seeds, tools and fishing nets.
He declared that United States of American pledged 273 million Dollars and Japan also pledged almost 90 million US Dollars.
The Coordinator called on the warring parties to stop fighting and allow aid agencies full access to people in need effectively.
