Save the Children International Child Rights Governance Technical Advisor said engaging children on works for more than eight hours per day without going to school would be disastrous in future.

Joseph Geng Akech told CRN that those children engaged in such works would not contribute to the economy in South Sudan.

He said the capacity of children must be taken into account when engaging them in activities that could amount to child labour.

Mr Geng noted that there are many activities that could amount to child labour and that people should ask themselves before involving a child to any activity whether.

The Advisor stressed on the dissemination of the child rights and business principal so that business people are aware of their roles and responsibilities in protecting children.
