Lakes government supplies food commodities to stabilize prices

Lakes State government embarked on supplying food commodities such as maize flour, sugar and other basic goods to stabilize high food prices in the market.
 
State Finance Minister Kuol Daniel Ayulo told the press on Wednesday while receiving the first consignment of seven trucks, that the program was an implementation of the three million US Dollars national Finance Ministry gave to each state, Radio Good News reported.
 
Mr Ayulo said the commodities would be sold at cheaper prices to local businessmen in all state markets to sell them to consumers at affordable prices.
 
He added that authorities would regulate prices of food subsidies so that consumers are not cheated.
 
Joly General Trading and Transport Company won the three million US Dollar contract to be the supplier of food items, construction and fuel subsidies to Lakes State.
