Budi County of Eastern Equatoria State on Tuesday dominated long races and field events in inter-county sports tournament.
Budi County participants maintained the first position in boys’ and girls’ 1500 metres’ races, Radio Emmanuel reported.
Torit retained the second position, monopolizing 800 metres’ boys’ and girls’ races, taking all the first and second positions.
Torit County also occupied the first position in short put and javelin as referee Haidar Moses announced.
Short races and final athletics’ events of the inter-county sports tournament would take place on Wednesday January 28 at Torit Freedom Square today.
Eastern Equatoria State government is funding the events with support from United Nations Children Fund or UNICEF Whitaker Peace Initiative while United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS is providing intellectual support.
