Eastern Equatoria new Gender minister takes oath

Newly appointed Eastern Equatoria State minister for Gender, Culture and Social Development on Friday took oath of office.
 
Governor Louis Lobong Lojore during the ceremony, asked Margret Idwa Okuye to work hard for the benefit of the state, pledging to fulfill the 25 percent women quota through cooperation to realize development, Radio Emmanuel reported.
 
The new minister called for cooperation and joint efforts with the people of Eastern Equatoria to achieve state growth.
 
Ms Idwa promised to work with women associations and civil society organizations as her priority for the development of the state.
 
Margret Idwa Okuye is the first female minister from Torit County.
