Yei Mayor on Friday said Municipal authority would take tough measures against traders selling water for two South Sudanese Pounds.
Santo Paul Lasuba said traders are exploiting consumers and earning double profit, Radio Easter reported.
Wholesalers and retailers complained that they lose when selling water at one Pound because they buy one carton of 24 bottles at 22 Pounds.
Traders told Radio Easter that only one company is currently supplying water to the people of Yei while other cartons are transported from Juba.
