Eastern Equatoria Governor on Monday during a meeting with the State Youth Union Executive Committee directed the Youth and Sports ministry to dissolve the body if it fails to resolve its leadership wrangles.
Louis Lobong Lojore said the government has to interfere to avoid youth from fighting, Radio Emmanuel reported.
The Governor said all unions countrywide would soon be dissolved and each state elects a preparatory committee to organize a convention.
Governor Lobong notified the Union to elect a stirring committee to prepare for the state convention.
The Governor cautioned young people against division, telling them to portray leadership qualities for the development of Eastern Equatoria.
The State Youth Union was marred with disagreements over leadership and resources since its inception on June1, 2013.
