Tonj South Fisheries Officer in Warrap State complained that they are facing difficulties of transport to move from one end to another.
Albino Mayenje said they walk long distances to inspect fishermen along the river and other fishing areas, Radio Don Bosco reported.
The officer called on the Local Government to cooperate by allowing him to work in the town and market not only along the river.
Mr Mayenje wanted Local Government authorities to jointly work to ease generation of more revenues from the bundles of fish going to various markets in the county.
The officer told Tonj fishermen and communities to renew their licenses because the police would soon start arresting violators.
