Yei Catholic Bishop advised children to obey parents by listening to their directives in order to be good future leaders for the nation like Jesus Christ.
Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe observed that many parents are trying their best to guide and educate children though some continue to undermine them, Radio Easter reported.
He blamed children for not listening to their parents’ teachings, noting that Lord Jesus was obedient to His parents.
Bishop Lodu also asked parents to keep instructing the children to grow in good manners and win praise from outside.
The Catholic prelate told children that if they do not want to listen to their parents, they are not following footsteps of Jesus because Christ grew up listening and caring for His parents.
The Bishop made the statements while giving New Year’s homily on Thursday at Christ the King Cathedral.
