St Mary parishioners of Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese paid a friendly visit to their Yambio Episcopal Church of South Sudan and Sudan or ECSSS Parish of Naagori to share the good news of Christmas on the last Sunday of Advent.
St Mary representatives headed by their Parish Priest Peter Moudie presented Christmas gifts to their neighbours to show their solidarity, Radio Anisa reported.
He thanked Naagori ECSSS Parishioners for their generosity and love demonstrated in 2013 when he assumed the position of St Mary Parish Priest.
Fr Moudie said the faithful of Naagori ECSSS were in solidarity with the Catholic Church in Yambio while mourning Bishop Emeritus Joseph Gasi who passed away in November and also contributed marrams to fill the foundation of St Mary’s shelter.
Naagori ECSS Pastor Reverend Gordon Zebedeyo said it was a joyful and blessed day for the first time to receive brothers and sisters from the Catholic Church for Sunday service and sharing the good news of Christmas.
He stated that the visit showed solidarity, love and unity between neighbours.
Pastor Zebedeyo urged the faithful to be united for Christ to realize peace in the country because God is a Trinity.
