WES Fire Safety graduates 11 officers in Yambio

Western Equatoria State Fire Safety and Protection Unit on Thursday graduated first batch of eleven officers in Yambio.
 
Second Lieutenant John Wani said the graduates underwent 15 days training on the use of fire extinguishers, first aid and other disciplines to save lives of people in various organisations including FARM Project, GIZ and the state Fire Brigade, Radio Anisa reported.
 
He advised the public to avoid cooking machines under local tukuls and putting petrol or gas inside houses to prevent fire outbreak.
 
Graduates’ representative Benty Kangu Bullen from FARM Project expressed readiness to serve the organization and community from fire outbreaks.
 
He advised everybody to be conscious and clean around their generator houses.
 
State Fire Safety and Protection Inspector Henry Malish Louis urged companies, organizations, hotels and government institutions to send their representatives for the training next time free of charge.
