Yei River County HIV AIDS Commission said three thousand four hundred and eighty-two people living with HIV are receiving treatment.
Joyce Sadia Clement informed citizens after two-day workshop to stop stigma, discrimination and neglect of persons with HIV in the community, Radio Easter reported.
She said they underscored discrimination and denial as the major causes of death to HIV positive persons.
Yei Boda-boda Union Deputy Director Apollo Hassan said they are expected to conduct more awareness in other payams in the County.
The officials called on citizens to know their health status and stick to advise to avoid further infections.
