United Nations South Sudan Humanitarian Coordinator called on South Sudan political leaders to start building their country because nobody else can do it for them and that donors cannot keep putting hands into their pockets.

Toby Lanzer called on the warring parties to come together, reconcile, find peace and build their country.

The Coordinator appealed for six hundred million US Dollars from the donor community by the end of February for season tools including fishing nets.

He said the donation would help people become self reliant, less dependent on aeroplanes flying over dropping food and to help them look after themselves.

The Humanitarian Coordinator called on the government and SPLM/A in opposition to help citizens especially IDPs to feel safe enough and return home.
