Residents of Loronyo village in Torit County of Eastern Equatoria State deserted their area over fear of retaliation from Idali.
County Commissioner German Charles Ojok dismissed fears, saying government forces were deployed to restore order in the two villages, Radio Emmanuel reported.
He noted that only few vulnerable groups of elderly persons and women were left in Loronyo village despite deployment of the forces.
The Commissioner advised innocent people who did not take part in the recent attacks not to flee, calling on residents to return from their hideouts and resume normal activities.
The Commissioner disclosed discovery of three dead women from Idali, missing from the time of attack on mourners at Loronyo village.
He explained that armed patrol force found the body of one woman in Loronyo and two others in the northern part of the village.
The recent recovery of bodies raised the death toll of Loronyo attack on mourners to 20 people.
Commissioner Ojok condemned the incidents, lamenting that the attack caused tension between the two neighbouring villages.
