Eastern Equatoria Assembly Speaker said illegal training centre discovered in Jie area of Kapoeta East County is a major threat to peace in the state.
Alberio Tobiolo Oromo told the crowds on Saturday during the prayers for peace in South Sudan at Torit Freedom Square that 60 youth of Jie are undergoing military training without the knowledge of the state government, Radio Emmanuel reported.
The speaker disclosed that the recruits raided cattle in Mogos Payam and provoked the people to mobilize themselves to attack the camp to recover their animals.
Speaker Tobiolo noted that prayers were needed for God to intervene on Jonglei and Eastern Equatoria states to peacefully resolve the matter of the illegal training.
