NEC TRASHES APPEALS AGAINST GUBERNATORIAL RESULTS IN THREE SOUTHERN STATES

The National Elections Commission rejected appeals raised against it by gubernatorial candidates from Central Equatoria, Unity and Western Equatoria states.

Alfred Ladu Gore was contesting in Central Equatoria state while Angelina Teny did the same in Unity state and Jemma Nunu Kumba tried to retain the gubernorship of Western Equatoria state.

NEC accepted the complaints and subsequently formed committees to examine their cases thoroughly using submissions from various polling stations in each state.

All committees reported to have completed their investigations and allegedly came out in favour of the official winners in Unity, Central and Western Equatoria.
