Comboni Secondary School students in Juba told masses, government organs and churches to help stop violence against women in South Sudan.
Students’ representative Dona Imanya Otome who joined the 16 days of activism campaign against gender based violence raised alarms that they witnessed painful violence against women and that institutions should cooperate to end the vice.
The students composed a song raising chilling awareness sensation for collaborative efforts to defend women rights from tortures, rape and sex abuse and trafficking.
The song generated from the theme: ‘From Peace in the Home to Peace in the World: Let’s Challenge Militarism and End Gender-Based Violence’ moves society to end violence against girls and women.
19 students and several teachers participated in the launch of campaign against gender based violence on November 25 inspiring song writing to convey the message.
The 16 days of activism against gender based violence ends on December 10 which marks the Human Rights Day.
