Tonj South County in Warrap State on Monday celebrated World AIDS and Hand Washing Day organised by Collaborazione Comitato Medica or CCM Organisation and Don Bosco Hospital.
CCM Officer Moses Maker said the aimed of celebrating the Day was to raise awareness to communities on dangerous diseases, Don Bosco Radio reported.
He urged government stakeholders, churches and families to enlighten citizens about HIV AIDS in any occasion.
Tonj Civil Hospital Doctor Peter Deng said they recorded 127 HIV AIDS patients from 2012 to 2014, adding that drugs are free in the hospital but patients are not coming for treatment.
He advised Tonj communities to stop using one spear for tattooing people and hair cut because it would affect many people in the communities, urging people to commit to prevent HIV AIDS and other diseases.
