Tonj South County Commissioner in Warrap State on Saturday urged Tonj communities to focus on cultivating vegetables like tomatoes and other edible crops along the river bank.
William Wol Mayom encouraged communities to produce more tomatoes, cabbages, adding that this year God blessed people with lots of water and fishes for everyone to fish, Don Bosco Radio reported.
He advised people to cultivate more vegetables to get more food for their family and marketing.
The Commissioner pointed out that fishing is not only the work of fishermen, but of anyone having fishing skills and nets.
