The Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba called on Christians to pray for the two new priests to be strong in carrying on their ministry.
Bishop Santo Loku Pio, who was addressing the evening programme on Sunday following the ordination of Frs Jackson Yuggusuk and Joseph Wani, urged the faithful to help the new priests morally and materially.
He also called on the congregation to pray for major and minor seminarians in Juba and South Sudan to continue their studies to reach priesthood.
Bishop Loku announced that Wau Catholic Diocese ordained four priests on the same Sunday while celebrating the feast of Christ the King that ends the ordinary time.
St Theresa’s Kator Cathedral Parish Priest Thomas Igga called on priests and parishioners in the Catholic Archdiocese to work together to realize development in the Church.
Fr Jackson Yugusuk called on Christians to pray for their long journey in the priestly ministry, appreciating all who participated in the formation to reach the altar.
He is expected to preside over his first mass at Sacred Heart Kw√∂rijik-Luri where he hailed from next Sunday and Fr Joseph Wani’s first mass is scheduled for December 7 at his home Parish of Mary Immaculate Terekeka.
