Eastern Equatoria State Legislative Assembly Speaker relieved Business Committees chairpersons and appointed others to fill the positions.

Tobiolo Alberio Oromo said the changes were in a good faith to give opportunity to other MPs to exercise their leadership roles, Radio Emmanuel reported.

Speaker Tobiolo noted that the work on policy statements of ministries enabled the Assembly to assess performances of Business Committees leaders and put them according to their experiences.

He said rotating the Committees leadership was to make the legislators gain skills in management of affairs of the society.

In the new list announced on Friday, MP Charles Udwar was named SPLM Chief Whip and MP Benjamin Lopeyok became Security and Public Orders Committee Chairperson deputized by Epone Emmanuel Lolimo.

The speaker recycled most of the previous chairpersons and their deputies in the committees.

MP Martin Lopir Lotubai, the former Chairperson for Security and Public Order, MP. Elizabeth Adodo Tulio and MP Robert Okumu Agany did not make a return to the list.
