El-Obeid Catholic Diocesan Education Coordinator on Wednesday announced closure of schools in the Nuba Mountains for third term holidays after conclusion of exams.
Sister Cathy Solano told Radio Voice of Peace that all El-Obeid Diocesan schools would close down for annual holidays this week.
She appreciated local and international teachers for extreme hard work; enabling completion of 2014 academic year amidst war and poverty in the region.
Sr Solano also appreciated the Fathers and Brothers of Gidel and Kauda congregations, Comboni and Precious Blood Sisters for supporting education service in Nuba.
The Coordinator said schools would resume in the first week of February 2015.
