Wau Catholic Diocese said its pastoral activities in Gorgial were disrupted by poor road condition making most centres inaccessible.

Wau Diocese Vicar-General Bernando Germano and other clerics could not move easily to deliver pastoral services due to flooding road in the area, Voice of Hope reported.

He added that Christians in Gorgial would celebrate Christ the King feast on Sunday with difficulty and uncertainty due to road inaccessibility.

Vicar Germano said over 80 Christians received confirmation sacrament at Christ the King Parish in Gorgial.

Christ the King feast would be celebrated next Sunday marking the end of ordinary time in the year in the doctrine of the Catholic Church a period known as ‘Advent’.

Advent is preparing Christians all over the world for Christmas, marking the birth of Jesus Christ the Saviour.
