Western Equatoria State Youth Union head on Thursday strongly condemned the murder of former Yei Mayoress Oba Cecilia Tito and her office manager Emmanuel Lemi in Juba over the weekend.
Simple John Bakiki called on the government to investigate the crime and bring the culprits to book, urging the police force to ‘really’ protect citizens and their property, Anisa Radio reported.
The youths’ leader said South Sudanese voted overwhelmingly for independence of their country to enjoy peace not to kill one another.
He lamented that Greater Equatoria lost a great young woman and man who were able to support their communities in so many ways.
Mr Bakiki appealed to the International community to intervene and ensure that the culprits are brought to book.
The youths’ leader called on South Sudanese to stop barbaric acts to enjoy dividends of independence.
